Jeffrey Schwarz

Mr. Schwarz is currently the Senior Physician Assistant in the Department of Neuroscience, Division of Psychiatry, in a large private teaching hospital in Brooklyn, NY. His current primary assignment is emergency psychiatry for the adult and pediatric emergency departments.
In addition, Mr. Schwarz responds to consult requests from inpatient medical services including: general medicine, surgery, neurosurgery, neurology, urology, mother-baby, labor and delivery, rehab medicine, pediatrics, oncology, and other departments. In the past he has had the above responsibilities as well as had responsibility for over 50 psychiatric out patients. Mr Schwarz current teaches psychiatry to medical and PA students and has lectured about psychiatry and psychopharmacology to residents and medical attendings.
Jeffrey Schwarz is a member of the Medical Reserve Corps for major disaster first responders. He responded on 911 at Ground Zero, and for Hurricane Sandy.
In the past, Mr. Schwarz has also been a newspaper staff photojournalist and photo editor for many years, as well as a commercial photographer. His photos have been published or exhibited around the world.
Mr Schwarz was a senior instructor for the Tai Chi Society of New York, and taught at the City University of New York, and privately.
