Robin Farmanfarmaian

Robin Farmanfarmaian is a futurist and successful entrepreneur, consultant, business leader, technologist, health care advocate and the author of “The Patient as CEO.”
As an entrepreneur she has worked on more than 10 early-stage start-up companies all dealing with cutting-edge technology, most in medicine and biotech. Robin is passionate about her message that “Technology is Hope” – and for good reason. After a misdiagnosis as a teen she has been on a perilous life-long journey enduring six major surgeries – many of them ultimately unnecessary – that resulted in several organ removals, and over 40 hospitalizations. Today, she continues to live with chronic pain and must receive IV treatment every 6 weeks to maintain her health and the active life she loves.
In “The Patient as CEO”, Robin reveals the growing number of breakthroughs in biomedical technology, including wearable sensors, 3D printing, artificial intelligence, robotics and more, all set to fundamentally change healthcare and wellness. She is Co-Founder and Executive Director for the Organ Preservation Alliance and actively involved as VP of Business Development with INVICTA Medical.
